Which of the 2020 Presidential Candidates Studied Latin?

The following is presented not to be facetious or jocular, but simply to address a nagging curiosity which a few people might have: which of the major candidates studied Latin?

We have begun collecting information on this issue by scouring the Internet (of course), contacting campaigns directly with the question, and (sparingly thus far) reaching out to candidates’ classmates who have candidly discussed their school days with the media. After much debate, we decided not to initially include any candidates from parties beyond the Democrats and the Republicans. We may do so in the future, and of course any campaign is welcome to contact us (several hundred candidates are in the running, after all).

As information arises, these lists will be updated or augmented! Candidates confirmed to have studied Latin at any point in their formal education have their names italicized, bolded, underlined, and acting as hyperlinks to evidence.

2020 Democratic presidential candidates: Michael Bennet; Joe Biden; Cory Booker; Steve Bullock; Pete Buttigieg; Julián Castro; Bill de Blasio; John Delaney; Tulsi Gabbard; Kirsten Gillibrand; Mike Gravel; Kamala Harris; John Hickenlooper; Jay Inslee; Amy Klobuchar; Wayne Messam; Robert “Beto” O’Rourke; Tim Ryan; Bernie Sanders; Joe Sestak; Tom Steyer; Elizabeth Warren; Marianne Williamson; Andrew Yang.

2020 Republican presidential candidates: Donald Trump; William “Bill” Weld.
